One of Foxville's many European imports, Saskia van der Zee is an exceptionally gifted psychologist and an expert in the field of behavioral science who presently heads up the Cognis Division, a cutting edge branch of the Metaverse corporation's R&D department, dedicated to the study of the human mind and the practical applications of virtual reality. Among other things, her interests include the use of VR as a therapeutic tool, particularly for addressing traumatic memories or phobias, for rapidly accelerating learning, as a medium to enhance human cognitive and intellectual capacity, and even the complete digitalization of the human identity itself. An exceptionally tall vert, even by the already mountainous standards typical to the Dutch people, Saskia's stature and sharp, striking features make her a rather distinctive figure even amidst the diverse and cosmopolitan employee base of Metaverse. She's unofficially dubbed the 'ice queen' by her colleagues thanks to her ultrarational and unemotional approach to her work, and her outspoken, no-nonsense attitude, though she's not completely unapproachable. Her current brainchild is the mysterious Project Liberty, which officially states its goal of creating a VR-driven, highly effective treatment for mental trauma and extreme behavioral issues. Unofficially, however, the project is so much more than that - Saskia isn't just aiming to fix what's broken, she wishes to be able to completely edit the human mind and its memories in its entirety, with the end goal of being able to create the 'perfect' personality for any given role in society, capable of being uploaded into a suitable human brain or even, eventually, the VR cloud itself as an ultra-advanced AI. Some rumours suggest that she's already made significant progress in this regard, and has at least one promising test subject that she keeps very close to her at all times.
