River Bell is a young man who has always felt a deep connection to animals and has made it his life's vocation to care for them. He is presently studying veterinarian medicine at Fox U, and has been a volunteer at the Fuzzy Meadows Animal Center since he was a teenager. From an early age, he's struggled with abandonment issues - he grew up in an orphanage and has been shipped off to numerous foster homes, never knowing his biological parents and finding it difficult to trust or really bond with anyone as a result. A deep thinker with a sharp mind, he's yet to meet an animal that didn't immediately take to him. Whenever he's not volunteering at the animal centre or studying, he occasionally participates in local protests and rallies concerning animal rights and environmental issues. He is slowly trying to get around to trying to actually make friends or even date, but it's been something of a struggle - however, he does own two adorable golden retrievers, and they are his whole world. He is also trying to solve a mystery that's bothered him since he was young - why his foster parents used to receive a large sum of money every month from an unknown source, and why he receives a similar sum now that he's living on his own.
