The leader of the Tashiro-gumi, a powerful Yakuza syndicate that has been rapidly expanding its influence in Foxville over the past few years.
When the Japanese Civil War broke out and Kyoto fell to the revolutionaries, an ancient order was disrupted. The Yakuza, the dominant force in organized crime in Japan for centuries, suddenly found themselves uprooted and forced to take flight. One such Yakuza clan chased off by the new socialist government was the Tashiro-gumi, a powerful syndicate that had been a fixture within the capital city for well over seventy years. Like many Japanese refugees, they came to the UNAR looking for a fresh start, and where better to settle than Foxville, already home to a substantial diaspora from the Far East? It was in Foxville where Ritsuko Tashiro and her subordinates established their new base of power, and they've been steadily putting down roots ever since. A ruthless, charismatic, dominant force of personality, Ritsuko was once known as the 'Dragon of Honshu,' with good reason. It has been under her leadership that Tashiro-gumi has thrived, even in exceptionally adverse circumstances. With so many Japanese citizens now making their homes in Foxville, the Tashiro-gumi have been quietly going about their business just as they've always done, running protection and extortion rackets and intimidating ex-patriates into paying their dues. But a dragon is always hungry for more, and Ritsuko has set her eyes on expanding beyond the Japanese immigrant population, something that has seen Tashiro-gumi inevitably clash with some of Foxville's more established criminal gangs. One such conflict even led to Ritsuko's daughter Eiko finding herself imprisoned in Foxville Penitentiary, much to the clan leader's outrage. The Tashiro-gumi have been quiet ever since, but some suspect it's only a matter of time until they seek retribution.
