They all but own the docks - very little in the way of goods or people are smuggled into Foxville without Cel Kasparova's say-so. Like all Russian mafia throughout the world, they are known to be ruthless, militant, and capable of acts of shocking violence to intimidate their enemies and discourage interference. Five years ago, the organisation sustained something of a schism - the 'old guard' was eliminated all but overnight following a lengthy dispute, and the young blood took over. More aggressive than their predecessors, and undeniably far more ambitious. None epitomize this more so than the new family head herself, Irina Kasparova, a vert ruthless enough to devour and digest her own mother without sympathy nor hesitation. The old leaders had grown lazy, and fat, seemingly content to watch interlopers stray into their territory without punishment. No longer. Irina understands the value of fear, and has already been quick to send out decisive messages to the gang's direct rivals; the Docks belong to Kasparova, and if you think otherwise, you don't get a warning, you die. Irina understands that there's more to the modern game of organized crime than violence, however - she's not just a thug, but a woman of refined tastes and culture, as academically inclined a mobster as you're likely to find. As powerful as the syndicate might be, she knows the real strength lies in politics, and has been steadily cultivating ever more intricate ties and relationships with the 'old money' of Foxville, intent on safeguarding her family's operations for decades to come.
