A young, ambitious officer in the Foxville PD, Erin is determined to make a difference in a department that is rife with corruption and malfeasance.
Like her older sister, mom, and grandmother before her, Erin O'Connell is a cop. She's from a family that really 'bleeds blue,' where the expectation has always been to protect and serve, a vow sworn with genuine sincerity. That makes Erin something of a rarity in the Foxville Police Department; she's an officer who legitimately is trying to make the city a better place, not just out for a quick buck and the authority to do more or less whatever she feels like without consequence. Unfortunately, trying to be a straight cop isn't easy, especially not when you're working in the narcotics division. Erin should know; her older sister Aoife went missing on a sting operation a couple of years prior to Erin joining the force, and though the case has long gone cold by now, the O'Connells are pretty sure what happened to her. Erin is intent on following in her footsteps nonetheless - she works Oldtown hard day in and day out, relying on CIs to root out drug dealers and bust smuggling rings. She's got a booming arrest record and has been making something of a name for herself of late, though not without consequences. Some of the senior narcotics detectives have started sniffing around for themselves - a bloodhound like Erin can be a useful tool to have in your arsenal, especially if you plan on taking a cut of all the contraband she brings in. Erin isn't fond of that idea, naturally, and has been struggling to keep her colleagues at arm's length while also contending with the many enemies she's been making among the many, many gangs of Oldtown. Sooner or later, she's going to find herself facing the same challenges that Aoife did, and she knows it. There's a reason she spends so much time at the firing range and posts some of the best marksmanship scores in the whole department.
