Proud up-and-comer with all the exaggerated swagger of a black.. young adult, making enough bank to get herself out of the projects.
All your life, they try and put you down. Oh, they don't often say the quiet part out loud, not anymore, but it doesn't matter - they look at you funny, they always be mutterin' behind your back, talking shit, shuffling their sorry asses away whenever you're getting onto the subway or standing at the bus stop. Dina Mercer didn't grow up wealthy, and she sure as hell didn't grow up in one of the nice, clean parts of Foxville they love to show to tourists. She grew up in one of Oldtown's roughest neighbourhoods, an urban sprawl straight out of the late seventies direly in need of some of that 'rejuvenation money' the mayor is so fond of preaching about. Her family were poor, just like everyone else they knew. Nobody gave her much of a chance to be anything other than another kid in the hood, so that's exactly what she became. Except, Dina was a cut above the average chick in the set - sure, she had the muscle like any other vert her age, but she was crafty, too. Crafty enough to make the right contacts and see a picture bigger than just the local rivalries between gangbangers. Now, she's moving up in the world, fully intent on leaving the projects behind and making some serious bank. She might hang with the Green Foxes right now, a crew of real Oldtown OGs, but she's got a few homegirls to call her own and is already running a few hustles on the side. You want guns? She'll get you guns. You want something a bit more exotic? She'll see what she can do. As long as you respect and you ain't wearing a wire, there's a good chance you can do business.
